PROJECT
Daystar Int'lSchool Project
Two Ninety-Eight Foundation Partnering with Daystar International School Madagascar.
Daystar International School was established in 2019 in Mahajanga, Madagascar, and is dedicated to providing affordable, quality education in a safe and nurturing Christian environment. The school’s mission is to equip students with a strong academic foundation while fostering intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth in every child, regardless of their background.
Since its inception, Daystar has grown significantly and now serves over 175 students across two campuses, located in Mahajanga and Antsirabe. The school operates on the principle that education should not only impart knowledge but also nurture character, instilling values of responsibility, kindness, and integrity.
Daystar International School has become an essential educational hub for the community, offering scholarships to ensure accessibility for families in need, with some students receiving up to 70% scholarship support.

Meet our founders
Daystar International School was founded by Nikki and Cofie Bruce, two missionary brothers, and their wives, Francine and Lois.
Nikki and Francine first arrived in Madagascar in 2016 as Christian missionaries, driven by a passion to serve communities through faith. In 2019, they established the Mahajanga campus, laying the foundation for Daystar’s mission of providing affordable, quality education in a safe, nurturing environment.
In 2022, Cofie and Lois joined the mission in Madagascar, expanding Daystar’s reach by founding the second campus in Antsirabe. Together, the founders have dedicated their lives to empowering young minds, fostering Christian values, and promoting holistic development for children across the region.
background
Why we need this project
For the past five years, Daystar International School has operated from rented properties. While this was sufficient during the school’s early years, the rapid growth of the student population has made it increasingly unsustainable.
The current rented facilities have significant limitations, including:
- Lack of adequate classroom space, forcing different grades to share rooms.
- Inability to accommodate further growth due to space constraints.
- No room for essential amenities such as a sports field, science laboratories, or administrative offices.
These challenges limit the quality of education we can provide and hinder the school’s ability to grow and meet the community’s needs.
This project aims to address these issues by establishing a permanent home for Daystar International School, ensuring adequate space and facilities for a holistic and high-quality education. With a permanent structure, the school will be able to expand, improve its learning environment, and provide vital resources for students’ growth and development.
